Your data

Obacht stores account data on its servers and nothing from inside your apps. You can download the account data as one file or delete the account yourself.

Export your data

Settings → Your Data lists what Obacht keeps about you, with a line per category on why it is stored: account, profile, devices, domains, zones, projects, memberships, SSH public keys, push subscriptions, notification settings, notifications, support requests, feedback, invite codes and template submissions.

Click the download button and you get everything in a single file.

Not in the export:

  • install tokens
  • your encrypted private device key

Your app data is not in it either. It never leaves your device, see Where your data lives.

Delete your account

Settings → Delete account shows what deletion affects: your devices, your web addresses (released at the gateway), your protected zones, projects you own, and your SSH keys.

Type DELETE into the field and click Delete my account.

Afterwards your devices keep running whatever is installed on them, but you cannot manage them any more. Your web addresses become free and anyone can claim them.

warning

There is no undo and no grace period. Download your export first, and back up app data on the devices yourself.

Next: Plans and support.
